Winter sports

There´s a wide choice of winter sports in South Tyrol: skiing, Nordic skiing, ice-skating, sledging...you can experiment everyone of them in the various ski zones, such as the "Dolomiti Superski" in the East and the "Ortler Skiarena" in the West. A very popular winter sport in South Tyrol is snowboarding. Its fans have many snowparks at their disposal; children and beginners can also take lessons. Ski tours are also very popular among winter sports in the Dolomites; you can take part into guided tours and your guide can be the famous alpinist Hans Kammerlander, if you spend your winter holidays in Valle Aurina (German: Ahrntal).
